Sea Isle City Two Project Updates- Former Library Lot and Welcome Center

Demolition of Former Library/Beach Tag Facility and Conversion to Parking Lot
The parking lot was paved and lined prior to the Memorial Day weekend; and public parking is now available on the lot. The parking lot lighting has been installed; and we are waiting on completion of electrical work to power the irrigation system in order to complete landscaping on the project (delayed due to Atlantic City Electric’s commitments elsewhere in the region responding to the severe windstorms that occurred two weeks ago).

Construction of Welcome Center Addition to the Community Lodge and Renovations of the Existing Lodge Facility and Site –
The contractor, R. Wilkinson and Sons, has completed the main lower roof on the Lodge and Welcome Center addition, with installation of the metal roof of the main entry pending delivery of materials. The majority of the interior construction
has been completed, and the contractor is working to finalize the interior in order to prepare the building for move-in. Landscaping has been installed; and completion of the curved facade and entry ceiling is expected to be accomplished next week, along with other exterior finish work and signage. The opening of the Welcome Center is anticipated to take place at the end of this month. The Community Lodge remains open and all activities will continue as planned. The City will continue to use all of its efforts to minimize the inconvenience caused by the ongoing work.
The project is the culmination of several years of public discussion about the need for a
Welcome Center, as well as the need for continued utilization of the current lodge facility.
